Welcome to the Arlington Jewish Circle web site!

Not sure what the Arlington Jewish Circle is? We are an informal group, founded in the summer of 2004, mostly parents of young children, and interested in Jewish family activities right here in Arlington, Massachusetts. We are not affiliated with any denomination or synagogue; some Arlington Jewish folks are members of area synagogues and some are members of none. Our events are usually held in the Fox Library community room in East Arlington or in members' homes.

Our events so far have included a Rosh Hashanah celebration for kids, a Yom Kippur break-fast, a Sukkot celebration, a Chanukah party, and a Tu B'Shvat event.

To get involved, please join the email list by sending a blank email message to this address.

Hi, folks --

I won't be attending the Jewish Women's event that Natasha Shabat has been telling us about. Instead, I'll be at the concert I've been organizing to benefit the Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis, and I hope some of you can come, too.

Please note: Having lost my voice (speaking as well as singing) for part of this summer, partly as a result of my MS, I will not be singing on this year's concert. However, we have an incredible roster of singers. Check out some of their web sites!

Sing to Cure MS: The 4th Annual Accelerated Cure Project Halloween Concert

Local classical musicians (including performers from Boston Lyric Opera, Opera Boston, and the Longwood Symphony Orchestra) are joining the fight against MS by offering their talents in a concert of works by Rossini, Gounod, Brahms, Joplin, Weill, and others --

-- including a scene from the local operatic hit, Tonya & Nancy: The Opera.
(check out NPR's broadcast about this: http://www.onlyagame.org/shows/2006/05/20060506_14.asp )

All proceeds benefit The Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis, a national non-profit organization dedicated to curing MS by determining its causes.
